The textbook “Latin terminology” is intended for students studying General Veterinary Medicine, Bachelor in Animal Science and Veterinary Nurse study programs who need basic knowledge of Latin grammar and necessary vocabulary during their studies. The primary aim of this textbook is to explain basic Latin grammar and introduce essential medical terms of Latin and Greek origin. Based on this knowledge, students will acquire the ability to understand both single and multi-word medical terms. In addition, they will learn to break down compound anatomical and clinical terms into their parts and determine the meaning of their parts. The range of topics covered in the textbook takes into consideration that Latin terminology is one-semester course.
