The book Applied veterinary haematology is written for veterinary students for their clinical years and should be of benefit beyond graduation. Veterinary haematology refers to  the study and diagnostic evaluation of blood, bone marrow and other blood forming tissues in animals, focusing on techniques for performing haematology testing and  interpretation of haematological data. It serves as a vital reference for veterinary professionals, enhancing their ability to accurately diagnose and treat patients. The book  is divided into twelve chapters, developed briefly by animal species. Each chapter provides a review of that aspect of normal physiology of blood and haemopoietic organs  required for understanding of the laboratory haematological methods and interpretation of haematological data that follows.

Tables with reference ranges ​​for haematological profiles of selected domestic mammals, birds, reptiles and fish are given in Chapter 13. A list of pertinent references is provided at the end of chapters as suggestions for further reading.
